New Year's Eve!

Went Ade's place to play mahjong. Wearing red really brings luck when playing mahjong! I get quite good hands or pick good tiles and win quite often!

Then left her house a little early for countdown and went to meet Joker, Dawn, Huaizhi and Hatsuee at Max Brenna's. The place is not too bad.. but not really all that hyped-up also lah. I had some Java hot chocolate and citrus somethings, Dawn had white chocolate SUCKAO, Joker had milk chocolate SUCKAO and Huaizhi had Mexican spices hot chocolate.

The citrus stuff didn't go as well as I thought it would be, the Mexican spices was quite good, like in the movie Chocolat. Milk chocolate SUCKAO is the best I think! The catch is to mix the concoction to the consistency that you like most.

A pity that Ade wasn't with me when the clock struck 12. There were fireworks at Esplanade waterfront and all I could do was call her and say mushy stuff. Thank goodness the telcos put us through or it would have been even worse.

We also watched Golden Chicken 2. It was a quadruple date, 4 couples were out together, me n ade, hz and hatsuee, joker and dawn, albert and annica.

The movie is bloody funny and touching also! NC-16 so the little kiddies can also go watch, it also meant certain elements of the original Golden Chicken had been lost because Golden Chicken is RA.

Haphazardly went to take over a chalet on Sentosa. Everything on Sentosa is overpriced, even the chalets! This Sentosa Holiday Chalet is built out of those old colonial buildings. They renovated the place and rent it out as chalet... the buildings nearby that are not renovated look like damn haunted houses! Surprisingly it costs 120 a night. Hz says it's cos there are 6 beds, actually 6 mattresses in small bedframes. A little logical from the management side but not at all logical to us.

Played beach volleyball, quite fun except for the sand from the ball falling into my eyes and scratching my arms. Anyway small discomforts for hours of clowning around, prancing around topless on the beach looking at bikini babes. Okay lah I didn't really look much, was keeping my eyes on the ball.

Got one part I think the guys must have tot I was staring at this bikini clad woman at the shower.. but I wasn't! I really had sweat and sand trickling into my eyes and I really couldn't open my eyes properly..

Passed my FTT.. didn't come as a surprise to me. Thanks Angel! for lending me both theory handbooks!

Feeling more settled and satisfied about myself, went out and bought my new clothes haha! Clothes tally is 2 T-shirts, 2 short sleeve shirts, 1 long sleeve shirt and 1 pair of jeans. Didn't buy all that today lah, only bought the jeans and long sleeve and 1 short sleeve.

T-shirts 2 for $20 Samuel and Kevin
1 short sleeves for $40 Topman
1 short sleeves and 1 long sleeves for $68... U2
1 jeans for $79 Zara
Total $207 and a few cents

One of the T-shirts is red and the tops from U2 is red.. yeah.. I'm gonna be all red this year...

The sizes at Zara are smaller than normal.. I first tried the jeans marked US size 30 and I could hardly breathe down there if you know what I mean.. and when I tried to pull it up, it was quite a painful experience.. the label really means it when it says LOW WAIST.

The long sleeves is vertical striped, red, some rusty brown and light grey. Looked like one of the vintage designs I saw previously at Topman, so that's good.. the Topman shirt is $69 and this one is $49 and with a 30% discount.

The Topman shirt is white, with blue sketches of roses.. yes roses. Haha.. sounds gay when I describe it but it's not gay at all.

Nobody seems to understand why I'm so bored all the time. I also don't quite understand either myself but so what if I've been out the past few days.. so what if I've had fun the last few days.. the crux is NOW. NOW is the time. It is NOW, not YESTERDAY, not LAST WEEK. The time is NOW. And it is NOW that I'm horribly bored. Nobody understands that.

BBQ after BBQ. Today had BBQ reunion with my P6 classmates at Bohan's house. Real good to see them all again! It's been forever since I last saw many of them bcos I keep missing the gatherings.. me bad..

This is one bbq where I didn't have to start the fire nor cook most of the food! Everything was done very expertly by Anthony.. though.. heh I think I'd have cooked the food just that little bit better than he did heh :P

But I wasn't going to just sit around and not participate in what I thought was the best part of any bbq! We had so many skewers that me and Junjie finished skewering all the chicken wings at once... hmm every bbq should be like that.. then won't have the trouble of getting your hands dirty over and over again as you skewer the wings batch by batch. I also tried to muscle in on Anthony's territory and hung around to cook the 1st batch of wings. But I deferred my opinion and let him have control of the big picture.

After that I went back into the house and sat with the girls and some of the guys who couldn't find anything to help out with. I think I'm not that great with social skills yet.. couldn't really open up any conversation topic, only joined in when I knew what was going on. Prolly also cos the gals were working, I'm still studying, the other guys are in NTU or still serving NS and I have been too long out of touch with them.

CTW BBQ No.3 was great fun again! Though it rained heavily from about 5-7, we bought a small aluminium tray and started a small fire in it.



Luckily the rain stopped eventually and we moved to the pit.

So happy I got to bbq those really beautiful Airpork pork chops from Carrefour again! Really lovely pieces of pork chops that aren't too lean and nice and flat, easy to cook.

And I also got to bbq white button mushrooms! Those were so nice too! Smear on generous amounts of butter, splash on some pepper and coat some teriyaki sauce just before they're done... Ooohh..

The sambal I bought for the stingray was really spicy and fragrant! Angel and Mike loved it, but Angel couldn't really take the heat and drank lots of soft drink haha!

T'was really a good bbq, even the rain couldn't stop us! One of us must have lots of Wood in his/her ba zi which prospered with the downpour and in turn fed the fire!

Smirnoff Orange Vodka proved that the girls would rather have something that tasted nice whereas the guys would rather just have lots of drink and get drunkedly high.

Must not let Guizhong handle booze. Though he didn't drink over his limit today, he spilled a good 2 capfuls of it on his leg while he was mixing some drinks up for Indian poker! Haha! Mustn't let him get too near the drinks the next time.. chalet or bbq, haha!

Ruyi and Angel got quite red after getting a few drinks of vodka but Tanny maintained her standard and didn't show any sign of imbibing. Jiaxuan also maintained her standard of not drinking, I think she had just one small sip at the end of the bbq after we 'yam seng-ed'.

Present were : Angel, Guizhong, Hongwei, Jiaxuan, Mike, Pangy, Ruyi, Tanny, Youkai, Zhihao.

Today is a bad day with coins.

Went to Suntec to buy bbq food with ade but had lunch at Macs first.

The change given to me was 2 dollar coins which I handed to ade as carpark payment. As she was keeping it I told her to hold on, and I took out my wallet and dug out a dollar in an assortment of coins. So she told me hold on to the coins, which I left on the Mac's tray..

After we finished eating, I forgot to take the coins! Dang it.. we walked all the way to carrefour's entrance then remembered. Sigh.

We took the foodstuff back to the car then she went to the autopay to pay for parking. She didn't have enough coins and had to pay with a 10 dollar bill. Many many dollar coins came out as change..

Then in the car I counted out the coins for her milk and baking soda and flour, which I put on the dashboard. She drove out then there were some works and traffic was rerouted and we had to make a U-turn. She turned the car around and the coins slide across the dashboard and a 5 cent coin dropped into this supposedly ventilation vent thing on the dashboard.

I hate coins... at least for today.

Took my Final Theory Test. I found it almost as easy as the Basic Theory. But this time I wasn't the 1st one out of the test room. The test started at about 7.30 and the 1st person was out at about 7.47.. Fast like nothing.. Quite a lot of people also left shortly.. I left just after 8.

Ever seen an Ah Beng eat Delifrance?

Today there was one at the Parkway Parade outlet.. me.. haha! At least I looked quite beng with my hair..

If you ever want to buy Delifrance tarts, tartlets and pastry real cheap, go to their cafes after 8. They would try to get you to buy their stuff like drug pushers!

"Would you like a tart to go along with your meal? Since you ordered a set, we'll let you have it a dollar less. How about for other family members to enjoy? You can keep it in the chiller for a day and it'll still be good. For tomorrow's breakfast? How about these tartlets? 3 for $5!"

Man you should have been there to see it yourself..

The set came with onion soup. Anyone can tell me what is onion soup supposed to taste like? Theirs is OVERLOADed with pepper. Wah lau... it was really damn hot.. like drinking chilli soup! I didn't add anything to it loh.

After I finished my food, I slouched in the little armchair and slowly drank my tea. I was deliberately drinking it slowly and pausing very long when the last of it was left. I wondered if they were going to extend their generousity and offer me a free refill.. heh...

Business was quite brisk for the 9 o'clock hour and everytime somebody stepped into the cafe you could hear them call out "Bonjour! Would you like to buy some tartlets? 3 for $5!" Some bought, but others bought baguettes and turned down the tarty offer.

None of the service staff noticed my near empty teacup.

Finally one of them glanced over but, sigh, he didn't make any move.. continued with his business. Oh well.. that means no free refill for me and time to go.

Did a totalling up of my expenditure so far for the 12 days since my last exam paper and excluding the money spent on driving lessons, I only spent a mere average of $14 a day! Considering it's the hols it is very little..

If this somehow goes on, then I would have spent only $420 this month which is incredibly low for the month of Dec. This is roughly the amount I would spend on a normal school term month, which is on the high side..

Installed Prince of Persia- The Sands of Time.

The Prince is real cool!! Has many force-like abilities such as running along walls, Spiderman-like agility, jumping up from wall to wall and the UBERKEWL DAGGER of TIME! Flip over the demons and the camera goes into an oh-so-flattering angle that let's you see the Prince vault over the dumb demon and then deliver a HUGE slash down it's unprotected back. And it's GREAT for getting a clearer view of where the blasted demons are. One problem though, the fugitive Princess Farah keeps sticking arrows in my back when she's supposed to help me shoot them. I even had to reverse time TWICE in the same battle just because SHE shot me in the back. And it was she who landed the killing blow but all she says is 'OOPS!'

Well the gal is quite hot, in her red slinky robes... but she doesn't do any of the acobatics that the Prince does and so really there's nothing to see haha!

Had my 1st driving lesson today! I think my shoe sole was too thick, I couldn't quite feel that accelerator.. and wah biang.. the slightest touch and the engine revs like siao! Controlling it really takes quite some muscular endurance and stamina in my right calf!

Employment woes....
I've been let go by one of my tuition kids... Sigh... $200 poorer every month.. let's see how I can cut back...

no more :
morning coffee from canteen : 60c daily = 3 bucks a week = 12 bucks a month
no more drinks, juices for lunch or dinner : 1.20 for juice and abt the same when i'm having dinner out = at least 1.20 a day = 7.20 a week = 28.80 a month
less 'lecture snacks' = about a dollar a day = 5 bucks a week = 20 a month.

Man!! I'm never gonna be able to reduce my expenditure by $200 bucks a month!!!
