Having a Gambling Problem
My jedi in KOTOR has a gambling problem. He's ALWAYS at the Hunter's Lodge on Tatooine, in the corner with Kudos, gambling on Pazaak for high stakes. Well .. not high enough according to him.. 600 credits a shot isn't high?! What the hell does he want with all that money anyway... I don't think drowning Darth Malak in credits is a good strategy where ridding the galaxy of the Dark Lord is concerned.
And poor Kudos.. losing game after game. He doesn't even know he's being cheated of his credits because my jedi friend is using his ultimate Force power on him, Force Save and Reload. One can only wonder how the heck did Kudos get so much credits in the 1st place. Maybe he's even bigger than Davik Kang from the Exchange. Maybe all the Hutts in the galaxy are working for Kudos and all Kudos needs to do everyday is sit around in the Hunter's Lodge, play pazaak and drink and be merry.
He says he wants to buy all kinds of nifty and expensive gadgets for his crew. He's already bought the Baragwin Stealth armour for Mission Vao, Thermal Insulation Belt for anyone who's feeling hot in the Tatooine weather, the late Cassus Fett's heavy blaster for the witty HK-47, Deflector Gloves for himself. On his galactic shopping list are, Electric Capacitance Shield 8500 credits, Cybernetic Response Implant 7500 credits, both from Kashyyk; the late Jurgen Kalta's blaster rifle 8000 credits, Infiltration Gloves 7000 credits, CNS Strength Enhancer 8500 credits, the late Cassus Fett's battle armour 15000(!!!) credits, all from Dantooine; Beemon Constitution Implant 7500 credits, Stabilizer Mask 5500, Combat Sensor 6000 credits, Droid Heavy plating Type 3 2000 credits, all from Manaan; Sith Regeneration Stimulus 8500 credits, Verpine Bond Gauntlets 1500 credits, all from Korriban.
He says he knows Suvam Tam on Yavin IV is hiding some really expensive but good stuff, probably artifacts from Exar Kun and he's also eyeing those stuff.
One can only wonder how much of the Jedi training has osmosized through his thick skull. Isn't all that a Jedi needs is his lightsaber and trust in the Force?
There is no emotion; there is peace
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge
There is no passion; there is serenity
There is no death; there is the Force.
